Bye Bye Mimi, Hello Nannie!

Well, we had to say good-bye to Mimi. She had to get back to Tennessee before Aunt Sarah went into labor! (Baby Bryce should be here by Friday!). We had such a good week. Here's Mimi and Kate after they both changed clothes (Kate left her a present before going to the airport!).

About four hours later, Nannie arrived ready for week 2 of "Mommy back to work". She brought a couple of headbands to make me look like a princess!

I'm pretty sure they worked! Aren't I beautiful?

Ouch!!!!

What a tough day! Kate turned two months old today. We went to Dr. Barton's for her two month check up. She weighs eleven pounds, eleven ounces! Everything on her exam was perfect, but we already thought that was the case! The hardest part was getting her vaccines. She got four shots in the legs (see the yellow bandaids below). After turning very red and breaking her Momma and Mimi's hearts, she was fine! She was smiling three minutes later. She's been very sleepy since. She's only been up for about thirty minutes all day. Could make for an interesting night! We'll keep you posted!

Bathtime princess...

Kate loves her bathtime! And she truly is a princess! We've had a good week so far with Mimi here. Mom's off tomorrow but we still have to go to the doctor for Kate's two month check-up. She'll have to get her shots :( . We'll let you know how that goes. Have a good day!

Back to work...

Well, I dusted off the cobwebs and went back to work today. They were nice and started me back really slowly...I only saw eight patients all day! Kate did great with Mimi and I was able to come home for lunch to see them. It is nice working just four blocks from home! As you can see, Kate loves her Mimi and thinks she's so funny!

Mimi's here!!!

Mimi's Here!

Yeah!! Mimi came into town yesterday. We all went out to dinner and had a great time. Kate loves her Mimi. She had a good night last night and Mommy was able to go on a training run with the group. We did 4.5 miles!! I'm okay for now, we'll see about tomorrow! Because Kate had such a good night, we didn't use the milk we took out of the freezer. So this morning we decided to do a trial run at the bottle. She took 4 ounces for her Mimi! She definitely has Sutherland blood because she drank the entire bottle in less than ten minutes! We'll send more picture soon.

Time to sleep!

Here we are again...back to the completely sleepless nights! I really jinxed myself by telling people she'd slept well for two nights in a row. Now we're paying for it! Kate was up all night last night. So much so that Mommy had to get Daddy up to help. Now she doesn't want to wake up for me today! No surprise! So that means pictures of her sleeping! And a birdie told me that Aunt Rachel loves the pics of Kate and CJ, so we held another photo shoot. Have a great day and pray for sleep!

Best Friends!

What a fun morning!

Kate and I shared some good smiles this morning! She slept a little better last night, but not as good as a few nights ago. Regardless, I'm keeping my hopes up! But how can you be sleepy having this much fun!!

Smiley Kate is beautiful!

Tummy time!

SMILEY KATE

Hello again. Today we got the camera out for tummy time. Kate is getting really good at holding her head up. She has also started sleeping a little longer at a time. We're hopeful that the trend continues!! Following tummy time, she was all smiles. She laughs at her momma all the time now! And we carry on the most enlightening conversations! Soon she will have those conversations with her Mimi. I have to go back to work for a couple weeks starting next Monday. Mimi is coming up from Tennessee to take care of Baby Kate. Nannie will be up next for week two! We can't wait for the grandma's to arrive!

TUMMY TIME!!

Later gator!

Kate and Anna

Today Lauren and Anna Iwaszko came with us to Thursdays on First, a street fair here in Rochester. We had a great time strolling along and saw some cool stuff. After getting a cookie for a snack, we came back home. Anna is warming up to Kate. Not only did she let Lauren hold her for a while, she even held her herself! What a good big sister she will be someday!

Training begins...

Ready to Run...

Many of you know that Allison will be running a half marathon in November in support of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (check out the website: http://www.active.com/donate/sa08minnesota/hettinger for more details). Well, we all had our first outdoor run today. Kate got strapped into the jogging stroller and Daddy pushed her. That is hard work! Here's a picture of Daddy getting ready to run with his baby girl...

Mommy and Kate were both exhausted after this run! Thank goodness the race is three months away!

One good looking family!

The Hettinger's

Nannie, Pappy, Sissy and Uncle Michael went back to KC today. We had a wonderful weekend with them here. Before they left we held a marvelous photo shoot. Check out this good looking gang! Of course the smallest Hettinger is the cutest!

I'm six weeks old!

Hello! We've had a fun day on my 6 week birthday! Mommy, Nannie and Sissy all went shopping with me this morning. Then we had a visit from our friend Dr. Maury Pasternack. He came all the way from Wisconsin. The whole family went out to eat, but I always eat at home. Here are some pics of me hanging out with my mommy and getting ready to go shopping...

The Hettinger's Visit

Pappy, Nannie, Uncle Michael and Sissy came to visit this weekend. We've had such a good time. Everyone thinks I am so beautiful. I've also found my hands in the past few days. I'm trying to fit my whole hand in my mouth but it just won't fit! Enjoy the pictures!
